In the park.

Saturday found Fox and Trick in the park. Fox had brought half a loaf of stale bread with him and the pair of them were pelting the ducks with balls of bread.

'Oh yes! I got that duck's arse!' Trick crowed as Fox frisbeed an entire slice into the water.

'ere look, I've caused a fight!' Fox pointed out as two ducks quacked, flapped and pecked at each other over the slice of bread.

Trick chucked another bread ball. 'Ha! I got that goose on the top of it's head!'

'Look at those two ducks they're chasing each other across the pond now.'

'Yeah and that goose has scoffed the bread they were fighting over.'

'OI!' came a shout from behind them and startled they looked around to find the grouchy park-keeper staring angrily at them. 'What do you think you're doing?'

'Feeding the ducks,' Fox said puzzled.

'Dur,' Trick muttered making Fox smirk.

'What does that sign say?' the park-keeper asked them pointing.

Fox and Trick followed his finger to a sign attached to the fence.

'It says: Paul loves Tracey then it says Tracey is a slag and I can just make out clouding the water and causing water pollution then it says fuck you bitch,' Trick read out.

'Oh ha, ha. Very funny,' the park-keeper said in a sarcastic tone.

'It does!' Trick exclaimed.

'Yeah it does,' Fox agreed as he tilted his head to see the sign better.

'Bloody vandals. I suppose this was down to your lot,' the park-keeper snapped.

'What d'ya mean our lot?' Fox asked.

'You bloody council estate kids; nothing but a bunch of louts.'

'This ain't nothing to do with us!' Trick protested.

'All we were doing is feeding the ducks,' Fox said.

'Which the sign is supposed to tell you that you are not allowed to feed the ducks,' the park-keeper informed them.

'That's stupid! Everyone feeds the ducks!' Trick said.

'Not anymore they don't,' the park-keeper informed them.

'What about that old lady? You're not moaning at her,' Fox said pointing to an elderly lady feeding ducks on the other side of the pond.

'That's old Mrs Cobbold she's been coming here for years.'

'We've been coming here for years!' the boys protested.

'But she is a sweet old lady you two are just yobs.'

'Sod this load of old bollocks!' Fox snarled losing his temper 'c'mon Trick let's go.'

'Is it alright if we walk on the path or has that been banned as well?' Trick said as walked past the park-keeper earning himself an angry scowl.

The boys sat on a bench throwing the last of the bread at a flock of pigeons.

"Pigeons are not as much fun as ducks,' Fox said.

'They don't have that comic look do they. Look they just peck and then sling away the bread they've been eating. They don't have good punch up like the ducks,' Trick moaned.

'Yeah pigeons are boring,' Fox said.

But even the limited entertainment of the pigeons was cut short as a small child ran through the flock of birds chasing them away.
